From November 17 to December 1, 2024, a dedicated team of volunteers, led by Andreas Boxhorn and Valentin Lang, traveled to Kenya to continue supporting Pastor Maurice Elijah Odongo’s mission in the Homa Bay district. This follow-up trip focused on providing essential support and resources to struggling families and communities in need. The team worked in several key areas, including preaching the gospel and providing food, clothing, and other essential resources to people living in the slums. They also visited vulnerable widows and poor families, helping to meet their immediate needs while ensuring that children could attend school by covering their school fees. In addition to their outreach work, the team supported the ongoing construction of a second Rescue House, a women's shelter aimed at providing safety and care for those in need. Leadership training was also a key component of the trip, with biblical leadership sessions offered to pastors of the newly founded churches in the region. The mission not only addressed immediate needs but also laid the foundation for long-term support, empowering local pastors and communities while helping to build a brighter future for the children and families in this impoverished region.
