From January 12 to February 1, 2024, a team from Samaritan Aid Ministries, led by Rubin Hoffmann, embarked on a mission trip to the Philippines. As with previous trips, the primary focus of this mission was to support ongoing construction and community development at the Village of Hope, a child ministry, and street outreach in the slums of Manila. One of the key projects included building a kitchen at the Village of Hope to improve living conditions and support the children and families there. In addition to the construction work, the team was involved in infant care and continued their outreach efforts in the impoverished areas of Manila. On January 31, a team of about 25 volunteers traveled to Tondo, one of the slums in Manila, where they helped pack and distribute food to the less fortunate. The group packed approximately 150 meals, which were handed out after a small worship service. The mission’s goal was to reach as many children as possible, share the love of Jesus, and plant seeds of faith in their hearts. This mission trip continues the ongoing work of Samaritan Aid Ministries to provide aid, spiritual support, and practical assistance to vulnerable communities in the Philippines.
